Dear Fans, Friends, Fellow Boxers, and Family Ages

Dear Fans, Friends, Fellow Boxers, and Family:

I would like to take a moment to THANK the thousands of well wishers and fans who have reached out to me over these past several months. People from every background and walk of life, from toddlers to teens, and seniors alike, blow their horns at me and yell '"KNOCK EM OUT JOE." Each and every day, your heartfelt words strengthen and inspire me. And as emails and letters continue to pour in, rest assured, I make every attempt to answer as many as possible.

Very Busy with Local Charities and Community Needs

During my time out of the gym, I keep very busy working with local charities for great causes. Most importantly, I am able to become personally involved and touch so many lives.

In addition, I have a special interest in local bipartisan political issues and their impact on my community. With continuing involvements in grassroots local political campaigns, I am able to gain valuable insight into the needs of our community, political fundraising challenges as well as sharpen my organizational skills. It is said, and I agree, that if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Therefore, I intend to promote, wherever and whenever possible, positive change and make certain I am always part of the solution.

And so to repay my community and friends for their enduring support, it is a priority and my honor to represent this area across numerous events and benefits. (please check news section)

My Brothers in the Sport During my recovery from injury, unfortunately, some members of the media haven't been as supportive. However, I am proud to say, I never heard one negative word or remark from any of the boxers (my brothers) around the world, in every weight class. For this, I am grateful.

Special Thanks to My Heavyweight Competitors

Moreover, I would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thank you to my heavyweight competitors for their support and kind thoughts, especially
Dominick Guinn, Hasim Rahman, Vitali Klitschko and Mike Tyson. Once the Nevada Athletic Commission clears me, and I truly believe it won't be long, we will get on with the business of our sport...so be prepared, my heavyweight friends.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge my TEAM: my father Jack, my brother Tom, Bob Spagnola, The DeLeon Brothers, Juan, (Carlos) Sugar and Angel, Jennifer, and my entire family. I would also like to thank the Ringleaders led by Gene Vukelic, Triple M Metals of Toronto and Casino Niagara, Niagara Falls, Canada. Also, Tony Holden Promotions and Tina, two dear friends, will be missed.

Thank you all for standing with me in these difficult times. I am blessed! Often it is hard to see the delineation between Team and Family. For me, it is clear--
Team Mesi and my family are one and the same.
